Lightweight impact protection

Self-reinforced composites use the same polymer for the fibre and matrix. The main benefits of this material range are the low density (0.8 kg/dm3), excellent impact absorption and ease of recycling. The weight-saving potential is 65% vs. steel, 35% vs. aluminium and 45% vs. injection moulding plastics. This makes this category of material ideal for luggage applications, for example. We work with PP self-reinforced materials.
